Steve began his career as a finance professional in 1992 working for Prudential Preferred Financial Services and advising high net-worth individuals on investments and retirement planning.  He then returned to graduate school full time to earn his Master’s in Business Administration from the Rutgers Graduate School of Management with a concentration in Finance along with earning the Dean’s Fellowship award in 1997.  Steve then began working as a financial analyst in the independent energy field and was responsible for valuations and structured financings for power plant projects in the U.S., China, Mexico, Argentina, Croatia and the U.K.

After his career in energy, Steve took a position at Verizon Wireless in 2000, in their corporate development group.  For almost 19 years, he led M&A transactions ranging from $500k license deals to leading the valuation and due diligence for the $28 billion merger with Alltel Communications in 2009.  That led to the subsequent $2.5 billion divestitures in 2010 required by the Dept of Justice to AT&T and ATNI where Linskey authored the Confidential Information Memorandum, managed due diligence and negotiated the Asset Purchase Agreement and Transition Service Agreement.  In that deal Linskey led management presentations to prospective buyers including Private Equity firms, regional wireless operators and the ultimate buyers; AT&T and ATNI.

In all, Steve successfully completed over 80 transactions valued at over $45 billion.  In addition to front-line negotiations, his skillset includes in-depth business valuations, detailed discounted cash flow modeling and industry benchmarking.

Mr. Linskey has appeared as an Expert Witness, representing Verizon in several lawsuits where he provided expert testimony in Federal and State court and authored a Fair Market Value report to support Verizon’s position in one of the suits.

Mr. Linskey holds a designation as a Chartered Financial Analyst since 2002 and is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts.  He is also in the process of obtaining his Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA) designation in the Business Valuation discipline from the American Society of Appraisers.
